What is a Domain Name and How Does it Work?

A domain name is your website's address on the internet, like example.com. It makes it easy for people to find your website without needing to remember a long IP address.

 How it Works:

  • When someone enters your domain name in a browser, a DNS (Domain Name System) server translates the name into the IP address of your hosting server.

  • Then, your website files are fetched and shown to the user.

Think of a domain name as your home address, and web hosting as your actual house.
