What is Web Hosting?

Web hosting is a service that allows individuals or businesses to store their website files (HTML, images, videos, databases, etc.) on a server that is connected to the internet. When someone types your domain name into their browser, the hosting server delivers your website content to them.

 Types of Web Hosting:

  • Shared Hosting: Your website shares a server and its resources (RAM, CPU, disk space) with other websites. Best for small websites or beginners.

  • VPS (Virtual Private Server): A more powerful option that provides dedicated portions of a server. It offers better performance and customization.

  • Dedicated Hosting: You get an entire server for your website. Ideal for high-traffic websites needing full control.

  • Cloud Hosting: Uses a network of servers to host websites. Scalable, reliable, and good for growing websites.
